Vivid Hair Color FAQs
Will vivid color destroy my hair?
Not in our chairs. Vivid requires lightening first, and we lighten with bond builders, realistic expectations, and zero rushing. If your hair can't safely get there in one session, we'll tell you the real timeline instead of frying it for the photo.
Can I go vivid on dark hair?
Yes but it takes lifting, and sometimes more than one session. Black and dark brown hair can absolutely go electric; it just needs patience and a proper plan. That's what the consultation is for.
How long does vivid color last?
4–8 weeks depending on the shade (reds and pinks fade fastest, blues and purples hang on), how often you wash, and whether you use cold water and color-safe products. Refresh appointments keep it loud without redoing the whole thing.
I box-dyed my hair. Can you still do vivids?
Maybe. box dye, especially dark or red box dye, complicates lightening. Be honest about your hair history at your consultation and we'll tell you exactly what's possible. No judgment; we've seen it all.
What should I do to prep for a vivid appointment?
Come with clean, dry, product-free hair and inspiration photos. Lots of them. The more reference pics, the closer we land on your vision.
