How much do locs cost in Lafayette?
Our artists book by the hour, with rates ranging from $60–$200/hour depending on the artist you choose.
Loc appointments can vary a LOT. Starting locs, adding extensions, or repairing existing locs depends on your length, density, current condition, desired result, and the method we use.

Loc FAQs
How long does it take to start locs?
It depends. Starter loc appointments can take anywhere from a couple of hours to most of the day depending on your hair, the number and size of locs, and the method we're using. Crochet and instant-loc methods generally require more time upfront than coils or twists.
Your consultation gives us a much better estimate for your head.
Do you do locs on all hair types?
Yes. Different textures may need different methods, and that's the point. We choose the technique based on your actual hair instead of trying to make every head behave the same way.
Can you fix damaged or thinning locs?
Often, yes. We offer loc repair for thinning areas, breakage, weak spots, unraveling, and other damage.
We'll need to see what's happening first, so start with a consultation. If something shouldn't be repaired, we'll tell you that too.
How often should I get my locs maintained?
A lot of clients fall somewhere around 4–8 weeks, but there isn't one magic schedule for everybody. Your texture, growth, method, lifestyle, and how you care for your locs at home all matter.
We'll help you figure out a maintenance schedule that makes sense for you.
Do you offer synthetic locs?
Yes. Synthetic crochet locs and extensions are available for clients who want length, a different look, or a protective style without the same level of commitment as permanent locs. We can even make them in house for a custom one of a kind look
